One-stop web page on CGIAR research for the Horn of Africa

Experts from varying fields of agricultural research came together in Nairobi, Kenya on 1 September 2011 to discuss the underlying causes and potential solutions to the devastating famine in the Horn of Africa.

A useful web page has been created to pull together information on this CGIAR Consortium event Famine in the Horn of Africa: Challenges and Opportunities for Mitigating Drought-Induced Food Crises

The page pulls together:

  • Audio and video recordings of the event
  • Twitter stream including questions and answers
  • Links to articles by CGIAR Centers, including the World Agroforestry Centre, relating to agricultural research in the region
  • Links to CGIAR research projects in the Horn of Africa.
